FleetCheck to Provide FORS Fleet Management System

FleetCheck has been selected by FORS, the Fleet Operator Recognition Scheme, to provide members with a dedicated fleet management software system, FORS FMS.

The move signals FleetCheck’s appointment as a FORS Affinity Partner, allowing the company to provide a FORS-branded product which assists members with legal compliance and/or contractual requirements – all with a primary focus on improving safety, efficiency and environmental protection.

Widely recognised as a benchmark online fleet management tool, FleetCheck’s FMS product provides intuitive, easy-to-use software packages tailored to match specific fleet size and vehicle type.

FORS FMS – www.fors-online.org.uk/cms/fms/ – is designed for FORS members seeking to demonstrate compliance with FORS Bronze, Silver and Gold requirements as set out in the FORS Standard. Software includes an online checklist which allows FORS members quick and easy access to the specific fleet data required for accreditation.

FORS FMS is said to boast a comprehensive data platform providing online document storage, an information portal and an advanced reporting suite. A traffic-light system alerts users to primary calendar events such as MOTs, service intervals, driver training and licence checking. ‘O’ Licence criteria is also managed, with FORS FMS providing a wide range of additional tools.

FORS FMS also includes the FORS FMS Mobile app for phones and mobile devices; an electronic version of the manual vehicle inspection process, making it easy for drivers to carry out routine vehicles inspections, including photo-capability to report defects and to expedite maintenance requirements – all imported to a FORS FMS account to provide complete transparency.

Paul Wilkes, FORS Business Services Manager, commented: “FORS FMS gives our members the ability to collect and integrate essential data to gain, and retain, FORS accreditation – all through accessibility. The prospect of ensuring compliance using paperwork is, at best, daunting. FORS FMS, on the other hand, will make the whole process quick, easy and extremely accurate.”

Peter Golding, FleetCheck’s Managing Director, added: “We’re thrilled to have been appointed by FORS to develop its FORS FMS platform. Online vehicle and driver data management leads to safer, compliant and more efficient fleets and we’re delighted to be supporting FORS members with their accreditation process, and, as a result, helping to boost productivity across the transport sector.”
