Shell Named as Fuel Card Supplier to CCS Fleets

The Crown Commercial Service (CCS) has named Shell as one of only nine suppliers for its RM6000 Fuel Cards and Associated Services Framework that exists to provide public sector fleets with access to regional, national and European wide service station coverage.

RM6000 replaces the existing Fuel Card Framework Agreement (RM1027), pursuant to which the company was a supplier for four years. This experience of working with the public sector has enabled the refinement and tailoring of Shell’s offering to help optimise operations, which will be presented to new customers on the RM6000 network.

The company will offer CCS customers its euroShell card, giving access to a network of some 3,500 Shell and third-party service stations in the UK; with its stations offering high quality fuels and onsite facilities to help keep drivers moving. The card is designed to streamline on- and off-road payments and offers access to a host of services, including a dedicated fraud prevention team and online fuel management system, creating a simpler, more efficient and securer way for fleets to manage their fuel costs, and, in the case of CCS, helping to provide savings for the UK taxpayer.

Customers will also have access via the card to HMRC compliant mileage capture, and detailed management information. Additionally, Shell’s commitment to providing alternatives such as electric vehicle charging, hydrogen and GTL (gas to liquids) fuel provides the public sector with lower carbon fuel options now, and into the future.
