VLS, the Verification of Lubricant Specifications, has welcomed two new members, following another successful exhibition at Automechanika Birmingham in June 2018.
Comline Auto Parts Ltd. (Comline) is an independent British supplier of aftermarket replacement parts for all popular European, Japanese and Korean vehicle applications. Comline is one of the fastest growing Aftermarket brands in the European automotive industry, with a UK head office and warehouse facility in Luton and three further key European hubs located in Greece, Ireland and Spain. Comline brand products are widely accepted in over 40 countries worldwide.
Miten Parikh, General Manager – Product & Supply Chain at Comline, said: “Despite being a relative newcomer to the oil and lubricant market, Comline has quickly established a strong reputation in this product category by offering high-quality products and genuine value for money. Becoming an associate member of VLS adds further credibility to our brand in the lubricants segment, but this is far more than a marketing ploy – we firmly believe in the VLS ethos of bringing transparency to the UK lubricant marketplace, and look forward to working with them in support of this mission.”
Motaquip has also joined, and is a supplier of premium-quality aftermarket parts with over 35 years of heritage and expertise. Motaquip supplies a comprehensive range of components, predominantly for the service and repair of all vehicle makes and models. Motaquip delivers to motor factors across the UK and a growing network of export distributors.
Peter Cox, General Manager at Motaquip, commented: “I firmly believe there is an obvious synergy between Motaquip and the VLS – the shared focus on quality! For more than three decades Motaquip has prided itself on delivering quality across every single product segment, with motor oils and lubricants being no exception. Motaquip’s tie-in with the VLS, an organisation whose modus operandi is to ensure quality and clarity within the lubricant sector, is a perfect alignment for our brand and we are delighted to have become an associate member.”
David Wright, Secretary of VLS and Director General of UKLA added: “We are delighted to welcome these two new members to our lubricants industry initiative to bring transparency to the lubricant marketplace and protect and educate end users. Suppliers such as Comline and Motaquip are a vital part of the aftermarket supply chain and we are looking forward to working with them. In our fifth anniversary year, we now have nearly 30 members from across the lubricants industry and have investigated 58 cases since 2014.”
