Endurance Vehicle Solutions (EVS) has invested more than £400,000 into new headquarters, which includes a dedicated workshop to support its growing fleet.
EVS, which was started by James Mulligan, Neil Jeremiah and Alan Ockenden, has reportedly seen demand for its fleet rise in its first six months, meaning they needed their own maintenance, service and repair facility.
The group has transformed one of its warehouses in Chepstow into a state-of-the-art workshop, teaming up with heavy-duty lifting and testing experts TotalKare for a lot of its equipment.
This partnership has seen a mobile brake tester and two sets of four T8DC mobile column lifts installed, giving them a lifting capacity of 30,000kg per set and complete flexibility in layout.
EVS, which has already created eight new jobs, has also purchased trailer beam and transmission jack ancillary products and these, together with the T8DC’s adjustable wheel forks, will help it cater for a wide range of best in class Euro 6 vehicles, including 18-tonne skip loaders, 32-tonne hook lifts, Refuse Collection Vehicles, Water Tankers and Johnson Road Sweepers.
James Mulligan, Operations Director at Endurance Vehicle Solutions, explained: “We all have extensive experience in the sector and knew there was an opportunity to launch a business that would offer main dealer standards with flexible maintenance solutions.
“Demand for our services meant we quickly needed our own facility that could look after all our vehicles and customers to ensure excellent performance and minimal downtime.”
He continued: “We had a blank canvas with the workshop and wanted the very best, which is why we turned to TotalKare to help us with the lifting and brake testing side of things. The technical experts it has are second to none and guided us through the options until we arrived at the products that best suited our requirements for high-performance, durability and, importantly, flexibility.
“In particular, doing our own brake testing in-house will deliver sizeable cost savings for us in the medium to long-term.
“As a new business, it could have been a challenge recruiting some of our own technicians. However, having the best equipment in place in our workshop, is a real selling point and a clear indication we are serious about being market leaders.”
In addition to its growing fleet, EVS’ workshop is ideally situated to look after the workshop requirements of customers from Gloucestershire, the South West and Wales.
The firm already has contracts in place to support 200 trailers, tractor units and box vans for clients involved in distribution, logistics and municipal work. This covers service inspections, RFL, MOT, tyre provision and full UK 24/7, 365-day breakdown cover.
