Brembo has launched an extensive range of aftermarket brake pads and discs for the commercial vehicle sector.
The brake discs and pads are claimed to effectively withstand the repetitive thermo-mechanical stresses experienced by braking systems thanks to use of a special cast iron alloy, pillar venting technology and a co-casting process. These lead to greater heat dissipation, superior resistance to thermal cracking and an increase in the life of both the brake discs and pads, even in extreme conditions.
Pads suitable for trucks, buses, trailers and semi-trailers are available, and Brembo says that the new parts – 100 discs and 67 pads – cover more than 95% of European commercial vehicles.
