ifndautoparts: the NEC to Petrolheadonism

With almost four years of development behind it, ifndautoparts made a public debut at the Practical Classics Classic Car and Restoration Show at the NEC on 22-23 March 2025, and is now gearing up for Petrolheadonism Underground.

Interest in the new platform dedicated solely to buying and selling car parts was said to be constant throughout the weekend, with what the company claims were impressive numbers of people signing up, and a warm reception from car clubs across the entire spectrum of the historic vehicle sector.

Located as part of the FBHVC (Federation of British Historic Vehicle Clubs) stand area, and with a relatively small presence, the stream of interested people that ifndautoparts attracted was apparently constant throughout the three days of the show.

ifndautoparts director, Mick Lunn commented: “I think the fact that we are offering people a service that is really unique – and potentially industry-shaking – was something that both the individual enthusiasts and the car clubs instinctively warmed to. After all, anyone who is, or has restored a car will certainly either need parts, or have parts to sell. And, given that, listing parts is free, who wouldn’t be interested!”

It’s claimed Ifndautoparts was also delighted that a number of businesses were interested in having their own virtual shopfront on the platform – and indeed it’s said some actually signed up to take advantage of the trade opportunities at the NEC show.

A further, and unexpected, surprise awaited the ifndautoparts crew as it reportedly became the subject of interest from new Classic Car Restoration TV Show, Paddock Speedshop, – “Restoration for a New Generation”, which wanted the platform explained, on camera.

ifndautoparts’ Layla Lunn said: “We were all a little nervous about being filmed to potentially be on the show. Ethan Blake-Jones, one of the show’s stars was great and really put me at ease. He then went on to search the platform for parts and was delighted to find several parts that they need for the Porsche 944 that is one of the shows restorations – so it turned out to be a great showcase for the platform!”

From the NEC to Wembley

This weekend ifndautoparts switches its thrust towards the car tuning and modifying enthusiasts. The platform has a presence at Petrolheadonism Underground, which takes place in the car parks around Wembley Stadium.

At Petrolheadinism Underground, over Saturday 29th and Sunday 30th the ifndautoparts stand will apparently be on a different scale from its debut at the NEC. As well as showcasing the ifndautoparts platform, the Wembley event will feature a couple of cars very much in keeping with the Petrolheadonism theme. Visitors will be able to check out the Nissan R34 Skyline that will sit alongside a Ferrari 458 Speciale, according to the company. The company says anyone coming to the stand can also put themselves through their paces on a reaction skills machine – with prizes said to be on offer for those who best master this piece of training kit that is beloved of top sportsman the world over.

The next big outing for ifndautoparts is this year’s Japfest – said to be the largest UK show for all things related to Japanese cars, which takes place at Silverstone on 12th and 13th April. Look out for the infdautoparts garage in the pits complex and also the “ifndautoparts bullet train” which will be ferrying visitors around Silverstone over the course of the event!

The ifndautoparts story

ifndautoparts aims to simplify buying and selling car parts – for both individuals and businesses. This new venture seeks to overcome the difficulties people experience getting parts for their various classic and performance machines.

ifndautoparts claims to offer an easy, secure way to list, sell, and buy parts—all in one place. No listing fees, no endless scrolling through unrelated items—just car parts.

Designed for enthusiasts by enthusiasts, ifndautoparts says it isn’t just another marketplace, as it offers a host of features that it claims differentiate it from other online automotive sales platforms:

My Garage, Saved Searches, Match Me, Inventory Management, and Wishlist combine with other well-known features such as Click & Collect, an Auction and Make an Offer.

ifndautoparts also presents the user with what it describes as various secure methods of payments as well as the ability to work with Trade Pricing and create a bespoke virtual shopfront within the ifndautoparts platform.

From the streamlined bidding processes to exclusive trade pricing, the company claims no other marketplace offers crafted tools that make buying and selling more efficient and effective. ifndautoparts is supposedly quick, straightforward and secure to use, and users can either have purchases delivered directly to the buyer or can make them available to click and collect locally.

Unlike traditional marketplaces, ifndautoparts claims to be different because of its commitment to transparency and community. It reportedly prioritises clear communication and support, with the aim of ensuring that every transaction is smooth and hassle-free.

Marketing Director Ruby Lunn concluded: “ifndautoparts isn’t just a marketplace; it’s a hub for automotive passion and performance, dedicated to improving the lot of everyone who works on cars – whether for business or for pleasure – because buying and selling car parts shouldn’t be hard. Come visit us at Petrolheadonism, and see for yourself!”
