MAHA tells CVW about the new expansion to its MA Star series – the 6.5 model – as well as some recent news from the UK subsidiary.
Complementing the two-post lift series, which already boasts equipment capable of lifting three-and- a-half and five-and-a-half tonnes respectively, their ‘big brother’ can handle vehicles with a gross weight of a staggering six-and-a-half tonnes.
Like its predecessors, the MA Star 6.5 offers five-star safety thanks to its triple layer of protection: spindle nut package with self-locking thread, patent-pending ‘giraffe’ nut breakage detection and motor brake. The self-explanatory plug-and-play function, as well as its intuitive LED interface, are all back by popular demand.
Customers can choose from several add-ons, including LED lighting or wheel engaging supports for special and electric vehicles. The latter allows unrestricted access to the underside of the vehicle and, as a result, gives the user the option to remove and install vehicle batteries.
What’s more, there is the choice between the MA Star 6.5 Stock variant, which is available at short notice, or the Comfort that is produced bespoke at the customer’s request and provides the option to accessorise their model with the likes of a patented support arm assist with roller spring bearing, ensuring a smooth extension of the support arms.
New website mirrors MAHA Group
The new MA Star 6.5 can be found on MAHA UK’s revitalised website, which brings its subsidiaries in line with one another and, most importantly, the group website.
Upgraded with a slick and user-friendly design, incorporating the colours that reflect the company’s iconic logo, the new website shows unity and identity, but more than that, it offers customers from each respective region a unique insight into their local MAHA.
There is no mistaking it, for example, with the Union Jack emblazoned at the top of the page, a timeline to reflect MAHA’s time in the UK, equipment and products available, contact details for staff and news specific to UK customers. Not forgetting MAHA UK’s dynamometer offering, there is an interactive map that indicates where dynos are located.
What’s more, those paying close attention to the company’s trade advertisements will notice the parallel between those and the new website – reiterating the manufacturer’s desire to generate brand familiarity.
MAHA UK Managing Director, Neil Ebbs, is thrilled with the end result: “This new website is the result of a lot of hard work and energy between MAHA and its subsidiaries. It’s vital that it is seen as the family as it is, and I think the website reflects that perfectly.
“There are some excellent new features; personally, I particularly like the local news feature, so our customers can stay up-to-date with what we’re doing, while the opportunity to create and post testimonials will become vital over the coming months, as we up the ante with customer visits.
“MAHA UK’s digital strategy is evidently growing and judging by the feedback and engagement on our social media platforms, I am confident our website will be just as well-received.”
