Saint-Gobain has launched a brand of adhesives and sealants – OneBond – for the automotive assembly and repair markets.
The range includes products for windscreen replacement, body and mechanical repair, and adhesives for the smaller, smart repair jobs. OneBond’s glass bonding adhesives are ideal for installing and replacing automotive windscreens, back-lights, quarter glass and other automotive glass, including sun and panoramic roofs. These adhesives can even be used to bond other parts of a vehicle body, such as trims, spoilers and plastic profiles, plastic brackets and sensors to glass.
High elasticity is essential for sealing applications to provide better stress distribution and noise reduction. OneBond’s body repair sealants excel in these applications and deliver outstanding UV resistance for exterior applications. These sealants can also be sanded and painted once cured to protect metal surfaces from corrosion. For the smaller, smart repair jobs, OneBond cyanoacrylate adhesives are ideal for small rigid repairs and assemblies that need high-strength, fast-fixing solutions. The whole range is compatible with the OneBond anticlogging nozzle to prevent blockages, even in high humidity conditions. The OneBond cyanoacrylate adhesives bond materials together in seconds at room temperature and are effective on many surfaces.
