How to Remove Scuffs & Scratches on Glass

In this step-by-step guide, Mirka runs through a handy, efficient process for removing scuffs and scratches on glass.

Recently, it has become apparent that repairers need a solution to assist them in removing scuffs and scratches on glass, rather than having to replace the whole glass pane. Mirka’s R&D team in Jeppo responded to this challenge by designing and developing a glass polishing kit which is said to provide workshops with a system that can assist in delivering consistent, rapid performance in this challenging area of surface finishing, while offering increased efficiency and profitability.

The process requires Mirka’s lightweight PS1437 electric polisher, a felt polishing pad, microfibre cleaning cloth and a 250ml bottle of Polarshine E3 polishing compound, as well as packs of Abranet SIC NS and Abralon 125mm abrasive discs with a grit range of P150-P400 and P360- P1000 respectively.
