Oliver Cockerill, Second Year Apprentice at TruckEast Northampton, has been announced as a finalist for ‘Apprentice of the Year’ in the Northamptonshire Business awards.
The award acknowledges and celebrates the exceptional commitment to learn and progress whilst actively making a positive contribution to the business and team they’re part of. Making it down to the final five applicants is a testament to Oliver’s keen interest to learn and to be the best that he can be.
Oliver has been with TruckEast for 14 months and has quickly become an integral part of the team at Brackmills. Studying as a HGV apprentice technician, he has had a proactive approach to his learning from the start. Not only this, but his enthusiasm and outlook have had a positive influence on those around him, says the company.
“Nothing is ever too much trouble for Oliver, we can give him any task and he’ll take ownership of it and complete it to the best of his ability,” states Depot Manager, Robert Vasey. “We are incredibly proud to see Oliver shortlisted for this award and wish him the best of luck.”
The Northamptonshire Business Awards will take place at the Northants County Ground on 15th November, where the winner of ‘Apprentice of the Year’ along with nine other awards will be announced.
