Rebecca Jackson joins Morris Lubricants

Morris Lubricants has appointed racing driver Rebecca Jackson as its new racing ambassador. Rebecca, who is also a television presenter, entrepreneur and motoring journalist, has a pretty full on year racing in two championships, one petrol and one electric, writing a weekly column in the Telegraph, starring in two television TV series and working with the Princes Trust.

Rebecca will be competing in the FIA Electric Production Car Series this year and is excited to welcome on board Morris Lubricants. Morris will start by supporting Rebecca during her season in the Tesla Model S P100D.

Rebecca is very excited about this partnership and is looking forward to the first race in France in November. She says: “I’m so pleased to have Morris Lubricants on board as they’ve been supporting British motorsport for a number of years. I’ve got no doubt we’re going to do fantastic things together.”

Alongside her efforts in the Electric Production Car Series, Rebecca will also be competing in another championship, which will be announced soon. Throughout her racing schedule, she’ll be working closely with the team at Morris Lubricants to promote the brand in the UK and beyond.

Morris Lubricants launched its successful Morris Lubricants Racing (MLR) programme in 2016 to support all levels of British motorsport and promote the company’s superior quality oils and lubricants. In 2018, the Shrewsbury-based company re-opened its MLR programme to applicants at Autosport International Show at the NEC, Birmingham.

More than 400 applications from talented drivers and riders, who provided details about themselves, their racing credentials and their ambition, were received by the company from all levels of British motorsport.

Gina Hinde, Marketing Manager at Morris Lubricants, is pleased to have Rebecca on board. She says: “We see Rebecca as a fantastic ambassador for Morris Lubricants. 2018 is definitely going to be a strong year for women, which will bring significant step-changes towards equality and we hope that motorsport will follow this progression. Rebecca has proved herself as a very talented driver and that she can mix it up with the best of them.

“She is not only a great ambassador for the company but for people of all backgrounds in motorsport.”
