Swarfega has revealed it will once again be on the look out for the toughest trade with the return of its competition for 2020.
After a hard-fought battle, the 2019 title was handed to mechanic Peter Derbyshire who proved his credentials with a photo showing him battling a claustrophobic space at great heights. This winning entry was closely followed by a number of other gritty entries and this year Swarfega will be on the hunt again, to find out if mechanics can defend their title or if they’ll be defeated by a competing trade.
People working in the trades take on some of the toughest tasks around. Mechanics don’t just have to deal with one area, but have to draw on mechanical and electrical skills alongside working with vehicles that have been everywhere but the wash bay. Mechanics were the crowning champions last year, so be sure to shout about your trade and send in a picture to Swarfega showing why being a mechanic is as tough as it gets.
Across February Swarfega will be challenging people to post a picture of themselves or a colleague battling their toughest task on its Facebook or Twitter page with the hashtag #ToughestTrade and a short reason why their trade should win 2020’s accolade.
Throughout February, using its Tough-O-Meter, Swarfega will judge each picture and choose the one showing the toughest task. The top 5 will be narrowed down and the winner will then be put to a social media vote. The crowning tradesperson will receive £200 in Amazon vouchers and the trade that the winner represents will be crowned Swarfega’s New Toughest Trade for 2020. The runners-up in places 2-5 will also receive a £50 Amazon voucher.
