Stertil Koni explores its LCV options

Tony Edge, General Manager of Stertil Koni, explores the company’s options for light commercial vehicles.

As a global leader in the design and manufacture of heavy duty vehicle lifting equipment, Stertil Koni is also acclaimed for providing lifting solutions to workshops specialising in lighter commercial vehicles, such as vans. A typical example is the company’s four-post wheel alignment lifts which continue to attract interest from garages throughout the UK.

Stertil Koni ST 4040WA

The four tonne capacity Stertil Koni ST 4040WA lift has been designed to simplify the checking and adjustment of wheel alignment or tracking on vans. Each lift features slip plates and turntables integrated within the two load bearing platforms. The combination of these devices ensures controlled movement of vehicles’ wheels to allow precise measurement and adjustment.

Available in four variants, the Stertil Koni ST 4040WA wheel alignment lift offers a choice of platform lengths and widths to suit the broadest range of vans with wheelbases from 1800mm to 4500mm. The lift provides a low drive-on height of 190mm and long drive-on ramps that ensure a safe drive-on angle of just 7°.

The ST 4040WA lift is electro-hydraulically powered and operated by a simple push button control panel conveniently mounted on one of the lift’s posts. Providing fast and smooth movement, the four-post lift offers a maximum raised height of 2000mm to ensure comfortable working and unobstructed accessibility beneath raised vehicles. The lift remains perfectly horizontal in every locked position and the absence of protruding edges on the platforms contributes to workshop safety.

As a company, Stertil Koni has earned an enviable reputation over many years for its extensive range of heavy duty commercial vehicle lifts. However, this success has tended to overshadow its experience and technical expertise in providing lifting solutions to workshops specialising in lighter vehicles such as cars and vans. Its ST 4040WA wheel alignment lift is a typical example of a proven product that continues to attract new and existing customers throughout the UK.

Stertil Koni FreedomLift

Since its launch five years ago, the Stertil Koni FreedomLift range of heavy duty two-post lifts has proved to be a popular choice for use in workshops where versatility and flexibility are essential.

The FreedomLift was conceived as the perfect solution for wheel-free lifting of a wide variety of vehicles from commercial vans to small, heavy duty trucks. Comprising three standard models, the range offers lifting capacities from five-and-a-half to nine tonnes.

Each model incorporates a pair of telescopic lifting arms which are easily adjusted, locked and unlocked as required. Also, depending on the needs of the user, a number of options are available including double telescopic arms for extra flexibility, additional control boxes, LED lighting and special vehicle adapters.

The FreedomLift’s ultra-modern design has resulted in an exceptionally stable two-post lift that operates smoothly and safely. This ensures suitability for use in almost any environment whilst allowing engineers unrestricted access to raised vehicles during repair, maintenance and servicing tasks.

Complete user confidence is assured by a range of safety features including an independent locking system that engages at 210mm above floor level, a gravity-activated locking pawl, automatic locking of the lifting arms, advanced synchronisation between the posts and a fail-safe automatic overload protection system.
